New England matched their longest winning run from the Tom Brady period as they overcame AFC East rivals the Jets by 13 points in professional football
Rookie TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the Patriots notched an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Brady's final season with the franchise in the 2019 season

The visitors had taken the lead at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields running in a short rushing score to finish the Jets' first possession
But the home team fought back in the second period as Henderson scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier caught a pass from Drake Maye at the rear of the endzone in the middle of the third quarter to make it 21-7
"That was a crucial moment for him rising to the challenge, and it's been great for him to keep gaining experience," Maye said of Henderson. "He desires to be outstanding."
Fields connected with Metchie in the latter part of the third period to reduce the lead for the Jets but Borregales booted a pair of field goals in the final period as the home side closed out the win
