Ex-Red Bull boss Horner Reportedly Reaching Out to Multiple Formula 1 Team Principals

Previous Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is apparently "getting in touch with most team bosses" as he pursues a return to F1, as stated by the Aston Martin team top executive Andy Cowell.

The Silverstone-based squad is among the squads that have been linked with the former chief.

The Aston Martin CEO mentioned he had confirmed the developments with team principal Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Marina Bay race.

"It appears that Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," commented the executive.

"I can clearly say there are no arrangements for the involvement of Christian in an operational or investment role in the future."

Further Organizations React

The US-based squad chief Ayao Komatsu revealed that Horner had "approached" the Stateside organization but noted: "Nothing has gone any further. It's over."

Alpine executive director Steve Nielsen stated the squad's senior consultant and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the former principal.

Nielsen added: "I'm unaware what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no arrangements for Christian to come to Alpine but that isn't to say it might not transpire."

The Grove-based squad team principal James Vowles stated that the former Red Bull leader had not contacted them.

"We're quite satisfied with the setup we have and it's effective," the Williams boss said. "I see no justification to change from that."

Previous Developments

The ex-Red Bull chief is able to come back grand prix racing by the mid-next season after completing a departure deal with the energy drink company on 22 September.

The veteran motorsport figure was let go as the team's leader after the British GP in summer.

Several informants at the racing team have suggested the agreement deal was valued at €60 million (£52 million).
