Chiefs State They Are Aware of Domestic Violence Claims Involving Wide Receiver the Athlete

The NFL franchise issued a statement on Wednesday evening stating they have knowledge of claims of abuse circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and were in communication with the NFL.

The team omitted the name of Rice by name in their statement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Allegations Shared on Social Media

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice directly, posted a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
