Charli XCX Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary First Look
The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a significant film onslaught in 2026, beginning with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
In the film, Charli embodies what she refers to as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the realest depiction of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the performer commented.
She clarified in a conversation: It’s far from a live performance documentary, but the idea stemmed from the pressure to make one.
A Sneak Peek into The Project
The first teaser, released on recently, combines actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized off-stage interactions.
The film is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who explained that the plot centers on a world where the singer took completely different paths in the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.
